Our Courses
Three Courses, Each Designed for a Different Chapter
Each Halcyon Reach programme addresses a specific area where Malaysian adults in their forties, fifties, and sixties tend to need more structured thinking than is readily available elsewhere.

How These Courses Are Different
Framework, Not Formula
Each course offers a way of thinking about a topic, not a prescribed answer. Your situation is yours; the course gives you tools, not instructions.
Malaysian in Its Context
EPF, zakat, local estate law, family dynamics particular to Malaysia — the context is built into the material from the start, not added as a footnote.
No Deadline, No Rush
There are no timed assessments and no completion deadlines. You work through the material at the pace that suits your life.
Course 1 · 4 Weeks
The Honest Conversation About Money With Adult Children
A four-week reflective course for adults who would like to bring more clarity to their conversations with adult children about money — whether the topic is gifts already given, intentions in the will, support during periods of need, or the parents' own retirement plans that the children may not yet have considered. Lessons offer frameworks for these conversations, suggested timings within the family year, and language for handling sensitive topics with care. The course is gentle and recognises every family's pattern is its own. Includes printable conversation guides.
What This Course Covers
- How to open conversations about gifts and loans already made
- Sharing intentions in your will without creating conflict
- Discussing your own retirement readiness with adult children

Course 2 · 6 Sessions
A Patient Approach to Charitable Giving
A six-session course for adults who would like to think more deliberately about charitable giving — whether through regular donations, zakat for Muslim participants, supporting institutions across the years, or eventual bequests in a will. Lessons cover the practical mechanics of giving in Malaysia, tax-deductible institutions and the documentation required, the considerations behind giving during one's lifetime versus through the estate, and the questions worth asking about any charitable organisation before a substantial gift. The course is reflective rather than persuasive. Includes a giving-plan workbook.

Course 3 · 10 Modules + Consultation
Financial Wellbeing Through Major Life Transitions
A ten-module course for adults navigating, or anticipating, a substantial life transition — bereavement, divorce, redundancy, the move from full-time work to consulting, the sale of a long-held business, or the arrival of late-life caregiving responsibilities. Lessons examine how each transition reshapes the household financial picture, the documents that typically need attention, the timeframes within which decisions can wait, and the support — professional and personal — that adults often draw on at these moments. The course is handled with care and offers no formula. Includes case studies and a closing one-hour consultation.
